The objective of this competition is to conceptualize modern, affordable housing tailored for the middle-income demographic, particularly industrial workers in suburban areas. The design must be culturally sensitive and appropriate, enhancing local architectural traditions while utilizing locally sourced renewable resources for natural temperature and humidity regulation, thereby promoting energy efficiency.

A central feature of the proposed social housing concept acted as the integration of a linear corridor connecting individual housing units, which intended to encourage community interaction and engagement among residents. The design strategically places the service area at each unit's entrance, allowing female family members to engage with neighbors while supervising children playing in the corridor, thus fostering a communal atmosphere and enhancing social cohesion.

Moreover, the living spaces are designed with maximum flexibility in mind, incorporating multifunctional dimensions that can adapt to families' changing needs over time. By synthesizing traditional architectural elements with contemporary innovations, this project aims to create vibrant, functional homes that resonate with the cultural values and aspirations of their inhabitants. Ultimately, this approach addresses the pressing need for affordable housing solutions in urban contexts, ensuring that the designed environment is economically viable, socially enriching, and conducive to resilience and sustainability within the housing framework.
